Governance

The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV) is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of up to 15 Directors. Of this number, 12 must be Members of the CICBV, with the remaining Members being chosen from related professions. Six of the Directors are elected regionally, and the others are elected “at large” through a voting process involving Members of the CICBV.

The Officers and Directors of the Board are elected to their positions on an annual basis. The Officers serve a term of one year, and the Directors serve terms of up to three years as deemed appropriate by the CICBV Nominating Committee.
